Remote start season coming

Remote start season is coming, and you should start preparing for the installation now before it ices up and gets too cold.
Here are some basic remote starts which will get the job done. Remote start will heat up your car before you get into it. Remote starts will melt the ice off your windows, no more scraping the ice!

The avital 4103 is a good remote start with a lot of feature, which will work in almost every car. It is compact and very easy to install and comes with instructions.

An upgrade to this unit is a 2 way remote start with security and paging. A little fancier and offers page back when the car is started. It also has a car alarm package with siren and flashing lights

A basic unit from Compustar is the CS920 (replaces the CS800) with keyless entry. Compact and small, this unit will be a good pair for any car.

You will need a bypass kit to go with either of these, to work through data – to bypass the immobilizer in your vehicle

See the EVOALL for an universal immobilizer bypass module

Does your car USB port charge your phone way too slowly? Read why.

The USB ports in cars follow older USB standards, USB 1 and maybe USB 2- Since these standards are set, it charges your phone at a very low amperage. Since these standards were set a very very long time ago, phones, tablets and other devices which use USB to charge have dramatically changed. It is not uncommon for you to be using your phone for GPS navigation, have it plugged in and then have it die while it is being plugged in a charging.

Most newer devices require at least 1.5 amps to charge correctly or even more. There is no way to improve the existing USB port in your car to make it charge with more power, but you can use the cigarette lighter plug and get a high amperage charger.
